Today marks another Monday wherein I have to stay at home. Since I need to wake-up early for my medicines, I decided to continue my devotions for Ephesians 3. Learning that Paul suffered for the Ephesian church made me realize that even when things were bleak, He often spoke about the confidence we have in Christ.
Ephesians 3:12 In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
He had this GOD-confidence that we can fully have access in the throne room because of what Christ did (In Him) and on the cross (through faith) with freedom ( openness ) and confidence.
My prayers for today is to reflect in this God-confidence of Paul and how I may apply it in my situation. I have a couple of questions myself:
- If I have access to God’s throne through what Christ did, what hinders me to be bold and open to Him at times of distress?
- 2. God is the source of faith through Jesus Christ, what can I do to strengthen my confidence even in the midst of circumstances?
- 3. What lessons can I learn from this chapter which speaks about citizenship, favor and faith?
Nevertheless, our own confidence must and still rests on Him. May you be blessed today!
