Word International Ministries – Bacolod celebrated its 25th Ministry Anniversary with a five day celebration which started last March 7, 2012 with the theme: “Radical: Raising Up The Standards
The celebration was highlighted with an early morning motorcade last March 9,2012 participated by more than 30 vehicles parading the streets of Bacolod City, of which they passed by significant areas where they have gathered together for Sunday worship through the years.
Another highlight of the event was a concert crusade celeabrated with more than 600 people in the evening of the same day at Garden Royale, Goldenfield Complex, Bacolod City. The church’s praise and worship band, the Frontliners, ministered to the crowd with songs of inspiration, sharing the very message of hope which is find in Christ alone and his written word, the Bible.
The Sunday Anniversary service which started 8:15 am the next day had the Cinema B of Gaisano City full. The Sunday congregation jam-packed the cinema complex with more than 400 individuals who came to celebrate with the local church in Bacolod. Pastor Kiko , the first resident pastor of the local congregation shared an exciting message about the very hope we have in Christ and how this hope can bring to us inner strength to continue our journey with Christ.
The culmination of the 5 day event was celebrated by recognizing individuals and families who have paved the way for Word International Ministries – Bacolod to who it is today. More than 5 families and individuals have been recognized during the banquet. The banquet itself prides itself with more than 300 participants from the different church workers, active members and supporters of the ministry in Bacolod City.
Awards were given to Pastor Francisco “Kiko” Sanchez and wife, as they pioneered the Bacolod church together with Sis. Liza Mayo and Elvie Reyes, Pastor Chito and the current senior pastor of Word International Ministries – Bacolod, Pastor Edman Locsin and wife, Edna Cortez – Locsin.
